Without ballet life is pointe-less

Ballet and esthetics, they go together definitely. Nothing claims esthetics and beauty like ballet. The lines of the body, the feet, the costumes, the music and all the fouettes, positions and steps they make are just willing to achieve the perfect beauty! If there's something I love is the temperament of each character in different ballets, you can't compare a Kitri from Don Quixote to an Aurora from The Sleeping Beauty and of course it's not just about the character but also about the dancer and the qualities of each of them give a lot to each character on the ballets. 
It's really hard to express how I feel about ballet, but I want to share with you some things that actually amaze me.

El ballet y la estética van de la mano, sin dudas. Nada aclama "estética" y "belleza" como lo hace el ballet. Las lineas del cuerpo, los pies, disfraces, música y todos los fouettes, posiciones y pasos que dan estan buscando ese ideal de belleza! si hay algo que amo es el temperamento de cada personaje en diferentes ballets, no podes comparar a una Kitri de Don Quijote a una Aurora de La bella durmiente y por supuesto no se trata solo del personaje sino también de la/el bailarin/a que lo interpreta y sus cualidades lo que aporta muchísimo a construirlo! 
Es muy difícil expresar como me hace sentir el ballet, pero quería compartir con ustedes algunas cosas que realmente me sorprenden y encantan acerca de él. 

The feet and the shoes.

Let's start with the basics: the feet. There's no dance if there's no feet, DUH! but well, ballerinas feet have the raputation of being awful... I particulary love them, they have an amazing shape and usually show all the work behind the perfection we see in each piece. Each foot is different, that means, there's nothing that we can call a 'ballerina foot' at all! you have a whole combination of toes shape like greek, square or egypcian or we can have from higher to lower arches! here are some demostrations! Of course the best feet to dance ballet are the ones with a higher arch and a peasant toes, especially on pointe! 



Empecemos con lo básico: los pies. No hay danza sin pies, no? pero bueno, los pies de las bailarinas tienen la reputación de ser horribles... yo particularmente los amo, tiene esa forma increible y generalmente demuestran todo el esfuerzo detrás de la perfección de cada pieza. Cada pie es diferente, eso significa que no hay algo que podamos denominar como "pie de bailarina! para nada! hay un monton de combinaciones con diferentes formas de dedos como la Griega, Egipcia o 'peasant' y a eso agregemosle la pronunciación de l arco! aca les dejo unas demostraciones! Claramente el mejor pie para bailar ballet, especialmente en puntas, es aquel que tiene una forma en los dedos tipo peasant y tiene un arco más pronunciado!

Then we have the shoes which of course have to adapt to the feet, here are some examples of the main brands!

Después tenemos las zapatillas que, por supuesto, se tienen que adaptar al pie! aca les dejo algunos ejemplos de las principales marcas!

The grace in the positions and steps

The main goal for a ballerina is to make things look easy, even when it hurts to death! and you can see that in how gracefully they move! 

Uno de los mayores propósitos de una bailarina es hacer lucir todo tan fácil, aún cuando duela muchísimo! y eso queda demostrado en lo graciosamente que se mueven! 

The costumes (fun part yay!) 

Costumes, costumes! tell me which girl hasn't dream of having a tutu and dancing on pointe? tell me who! the costumes are so nice and pretty! there are so many options and colours that goes with each play and they are all so wonderfull and glamorous! 

Vestuario, vestuario! diganme que chica nunca soñó con ponerse un tutú y bailar en puntas?! diganme quién? el vestuario en el ballet en general es tan lindo! hay tantas opciones y colores que van de acuerdo a cada obra y son todas tan geniales y glamorosas!

That's all for now! if you ask me ballet is amazing, it transports you to a whole new world full of fantasy where girls can fly and everything is so pretty! so if you're not much into ballet try watching some of the videos i've left above, I can assure it worths it! 

Eso es todo por ahora! si me preguntan el ballet es increible, te transporta a un mundo completamente nuevo lleno de fantasía donde las chicas vuelan y todo es tan perfecto! asi que si no estás tan en la onda del ballet intenta ver algunos de los video que dejé más arriba, te puedo asegurar que valen la pena!

P.S. I've been so obsessed with Don Quixote and Swan Lake lately s that's why there's so much reference to those ballets, but there are so more nice ballets out there!

P.D. Estuve muy obsesionada con Don Quijote y El lago de los cisnes ultimamente asi que por eso hice tanta referencia a esos ballets, pero hay tantos tan perfectos!
